We often build upon a Christian-style service with hymns, readings, prayers, and a Reflection, but we draw from many traditions, seeking inspiration from different religions and philosophies. We mark the start of worship with the lighting of a chalice and people are invited to share an event of the past week that has been joyful or challenging.

We seek to provide a space where people can come as they are, without feeling pressured to participate beyond their own level of comfort. We want to be a place where you can come, without regard to age, sex, sexual orientation, gender, or any other identity one may hold. After the service you are welcome to join the minister in the library for refreshments.

Southport Unitarians meet on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month at 11am.

Christmas Memorial Service: A Star to remind of our loved ones

As we remember and honour those who are no longer with us. This serene service includes a special ritual where members of the congregation are invited to write the name of a loved one on a star. These stars will then be lovingly placed on our Christmas Tree, creating a visible and heartfelt tribute within our sanctuary. As we gather, we reflect on the continuing presence of these loved ones in our lives, illuminating our hearts like the stars on our tree.
